Job Description:
Rider Homes LLC, a Philadelphia-based general contractor specializing in custom kitchens, roof decks, and home remodels, is seeking a skilled handyman/carpenter. The ideal candidate will have experience in bathrooms, flooring, advanced carpentry work, and be able to consult on a wide range of home improvement tasks, including plumbing, tile, and working with diverse materials beyond wood.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform general handyman and carpentry tasks, including kitchen installations, roof decks, bathrooms, and flooring.
- Handle advanced carpentry projects and work with various materials, not limited to wood.
- Consult on plumbing, tile, and other home improvement needs.
- Read blueprints and complete projects with precision and attention to detail.
- Collaborate with the team to deliver quality work on time.
Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years of experience working in Philadelphia row homes, with expertise in kitchens, bathrooms, roof decks, flooring, and advanced carpentry.
- Must have your own tools.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to work within 30 minutes of Philadelphia during rush hour (City limits preferred).
- Must have valid work papers.
- Bilingual in Spanish or Portuguese (a plus).
Additional Details:
- Starting pay: $35/hour for qualified carpenters, up to $25/hour for handyman work.
- A company vehicle is provided during business hours.
- No health insurance provided.
Job Type: Full-time, Part-time
Salary: $25 - $35 per hour (based on experience)
