DescriptionExciting opportunity for a Sr. Cost Accountant with 4+ years experience in a cost accounting environment. Position entails: analyzing operations and equipment relative to availability, utilization and retirement; maintaining cost accounting system and cost ledger, analyzing data for problems, and find solutions; analyzing and reconciling perpetual ledger and general ledger activity; analyzing and preparing cost and price estimates; communicating and co-coordinating with General Accounting/Finance Department, analyzing and solving problems with regards to financial reporting, variance analysis, budgets, forecasts, and cost accounting issues; analyzing information applying various inventory valuation methods FIFO, LIFO, etc. Must also have the ability and knowledge to utilize different costing systems: direct cost, job cost, process cost, standard cost and activity-based costing.
