DEVOPS Consultant

Roles & Responsibilities:

1. Lead DevOps modernization efforts for a leading Medical Device customer across their device and cloud platforms.

2. Conduct thorough assessments of current DevOps practices using industry-standard frameworks like CALMS, DORA etc.

3. Develop and execute strategies to modernize existing DevOps infrastructure and processes.

4. Implement best practices for CI/CD, monitoring, and automation across diverse environments.

5. Mentor team members and foster a culture of DevOps best practices.

6. Ensure security integration in all DevOps processes and tools.

Skills and Experience:

1. 15+ years of Industry Experience

2. 8+ years of DevOps experience, with 5+ years in a senior or architectural role.

3. Proficiency in DevOps assessment frameworks and techniques, including:

o CALMS Framework (Culture, Automation, Lean, Measurement, Sharing)

o Three Ways of DevOps (Flow, Feedback, Continual Learning)

o DevOps Maturity Model

o DevOps Research and Assessment (DORA) metrics

o Value Stream Mapping

4. Extensive experience with DevOps tools and platforms:

o CI/CD: Jenkins, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps, Artifactory

o Configuration Management: Ansible, Puppet

o Containerization: Docker, Kubernetes

o Cloud Platforms: AWS, Azure, GCP

o Device Platforms: Linux, C

o Infrastructure-as-Code: Terraform

o Monitoring: ELK stack, Prometheus, Grafana

5. Strong understanding of cloud-native and on-premises infrastructure.

6. Solid understanding of networking and security best practices.

7. Experience with agile methodologies and DevOps culture implementation.

8. Relevant certifications (e.g., AWS DevOps Engineer, Azure DevOps Engineer) are a plus.
