University of Pittsburgh School of Pharmacy Research Assistant/Associate Professor Program Evaluation Research Unit, Department of Pharmacy and TherapeuticsThe University of Pittsburgh School of Pharmacy invites applications for a full-time, 12-month, appointment stream research faculty position in the Department of Pharmacy and Therapeutics at the rank of research assistant or associate professor. This position is dependent on at least 85% faculty effort on research grants/contracts. The ideal applicant will have a PhD, PharmD, or other related degree in public health, epidemiology, or health services research or related field, though candidates with other backgrounds and experiences will be considered. Rank and salary will be commensurate with experience and qualifications such as a demonstrated and sustained track record in obtaining federal funding. Experience in conducting research with the Veteran's Health Administration and the Defense Health Administration is also encouraged. The candidate should have expertise in one or more of the following areas: comparative effectiveness research, substance use disorder treatment/prevention/intervention, health services research, implementation science applications in health care, behavioral aspects of medication use, general health outcomes, health care policy, pharmacoepidemiology, population health, public health, healthcare communication, health economics, strategic and financial planning or leadership and human resources management. Additionally, the incumbent will be expected to develop and sustain a research program with extramural funding as this position is required to have at least 85% funding. The incumbent will be encouraged to develop meaningful collaborations with other researchers within the School of Pharmacy, the Schools of Medicine, Public Health, and other schools and organizations.
