Operates and properly maintains equipment.Essential FunctionsThe University of Pittsburgh department of Anesthesiology is seeking a full-time research assistant to support several funded biomedical studies concerning the function and alteration of the autonomic nervous system in the setting of cardiac diseases. The Research Assistant will assist with data collection, data curation, analyzing the neural recording signals and cardiac electrophysiology data. The Research Assistant will work closely with the Investigators but also work with other lab members including but not limited to lab technicians, lab manager, undergraduate and graduate students and postdoctoral fellows. Basic computer skills are necessary; experience with analyzing biomedical signals and programming is highly preferred. The Research Assistant will also be trained to use neural analytics, cardiac electrophysiological and statistical software programs.
