Kitchen Manager (Pittsburgh)
150 seat Wine & Craft Beer Bistro/Restaurant is looking for an energetic, creative and responsible individual to become its BOH Leader/Chef. We need someone to have creative, new, original, and fresh menu ideas.
Our Kitchen Manager must have and be able to:
1) Be passionate about food and the industry
2) Be able to build a team atmosphere
3) Be able to provide for what our customer demographic desires
4) Background and knowledge in Italian and Mediterranean cooking
5) Knowledge of curing, smoking and charcuterie
6) Ability to multi task
7) Ability to lead and motivate a diverse team
8) High energy and able to work nights, weekends, and holidays
9) High volume experience
Our Kitchen Manager will be responsible for:
1) Controlling labor costs, minimizing overtime, staff scheduling
2) Controlling inventory and food costs, menu development and food sale growth
3) Ordering and receiving
Must report to immediate supervisor: General Manager/Owner
Minimum 3 to 5 years kitchen-management experience required.
