POSITION SUMMARY
In consultation with Director and Managing Editor, the Assistant Editor will update, revise, enhance, and produce content for digital publications, products, and services. They will contribute as needed to other company-wide publications and services and collaborate with other ECRI groups as needed. The Assistant Editor must ensure timeliness, quality, and accuracy of work product. They must also foster ECRI's mission in fulfilling job duties.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Essential Functions:
Update, revise, enhance, and produce content for publications and services including, but not limited to e-news products and articles
Assist with document preparation as appropriate by fact-checking, light copyediting, and formatting.
Submit documents and manage editorial workflows for content review, copyediting, and production
Build new member pages, including content tagging and managing publishing workflows
Review digital pages for adherence to ECRI editorial and website style guides.
Publish to member websites and create and post Word/PDF/XLS deliverables
Quality control of ECRI member pages; resolve problems with Managing Editor and Director of Publications
Act as liaison to publication staff and all support services, including subject matter experts, marketing/communications, and media services.
Submit visualization needs to Media Services
Support new work practices as digital publication develops and evolves.
Maintain milestone logs to track progress and aid in time management and organization
Meet deadlines, manage multiple tasks simultaneously, interact with different departments, and work independentlyParticipate in departmental editorial and group meetings as well as other ECRI meetings as requested.Additional Responsibilities:Other duties as assigned.Accountability Metrics:Completion of assigned tasks by deadlineTimely communication with all project participants throughout publication process.QualificationsPOSITION QUALIFICATIONS
Experience:2 to 3 years experience in digital production processes preferredMust have the ability to prioritize work, set expectations, problem solve and work in a deadline-oriented environment.Excellent communication, organization, and follow-through skills; as well as attention to detailMust have the ability to work independent as well as within a groupMust have an interest and ability to acquire additional skills as needed.Experience with content management systems is preferred.Education:Degree in English, journalism, or related field.Computer Skills:Proficient with Microsoft Office 365 Suite of Products (e.g., Excel, Word and PowerPoint).Certifications and Licenses:N/APHYSICAL DEMANDS
