An Administrative Assistant is being sought to provide support to the Department of Sociology and Criminology, including coordinating front office duties and assisting with event preparation.Responsibilities include but are not limited to:Greet and assist staff, faculty, students, and other visitors who come onsite to the DepartmentHandle other departmental communications (phone, email, Teams, social media, mail)Maintain Department calendars, directories, databases, and websiteAssist with preparations for Department events and guest speakers: travel accommodations, lodging arrangements, itineraries, emails, etc.Assist with travel reimbursements for faculty and guestsSchedule conference room and classroom space; provide access to room keys/devicesProvide facilities support: assist with reporting maintenance issues; maintain office supply inventoryThe Administrative Assistant will also assist and serve as backup to the Department's Undergraduate Program Coordinator. This position will be filled at the level of Support or Intermediate Support, depending on the final applicant's experience and education. The Support level requires a minimum of a High School Diploma/GED or Vocational Training/Degree, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
