DESCRIPTION OF WORKThis role is situated within the Central Services Unit at the Southwest Regional Office. The individual occupying this position serves as the lead worker for the Central Services Unit, taking on responsibilities that include managing work priorities, allocating assignments, offering support, delivering on-the-job training, and evaluating the output of the support unit to ensure it meets standards of completeness and quality. Additionally, the lead worker is actively involved in the unit's tasks. To effectively fulfill these responsibilities, a comprehensive understanding of the policies and procedures governing each program in the region, as well as those of the Department, is essential. Furthermore, this position entails overseeing all Informal File Review Requests, which involves liaising with technical staff, retrieving files and records in various formats, addressing inquiries from requesters, and coordinating appointments for file reviews. Full-time employment, 37.5 hours per week

Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with 30-minute lunch.

Salary: Selected candidates who are new to employment with the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania will begin employment at the starting annual salary of $39,785 (before taxes).

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITYQUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

One year as a Clerical Assistant 2 (commonwealth title); or

One year of moderately complex clerical experience; or

An equivalent combination of experience and training.
