Description:Responsible for ensuring that the quality of products and services provided by the supplier meets the requirements as set forth in the purchase agreements as well as technical requirements defined in product drawings, applicable and defined specifications and applicable standards, including ISO 9001 & t4001. Ensuring adherence and continued conformance to Customer & Customer end user technical requirements for OEM contracts.Creating and maintaining positive relationships with our supply base as well as potential and new suppliers.Cultivate a collaborative and supportive partnership built upon mutual respect, understanding andtrust that achieves all interested parties expectations, goals arid objectives.Assessment of potential new suppliers and secondary sources for MTS/MCC/BCC designed products & COTS items.This includes review of a supplier completed self assessment, identifying areas of concern or weaknesses that could allow for variation or defects within the supplied products that would require formal review during an onsite assessment.Onsite assessment, reviewing procedures, processes, certifications, validation of outputs by the supplier including historical dimensional and performance results and repeatability.Review of suppliers quality performance history with similar products or processes.Complaints/NCM history as well as quality and performance of actions taken to identify containment, root cause and counter measures put in place to address.Working directly with suppliers to develop and execute quality improvement plans when objectives are not achieved. Oversee or facilitate effective problem solving to identify true root cause, determining impactful and effective counter measures to eliminate potential recurrence and ensuring their timely progress and implementation.Follow up visits to verify the actions have been sustained and remain effective.This may include overseeing containment activities within BCC, at the customer facility as well as the location the item was produced. Coordinating internal and external parties actions to achieve containment and investigation/data gathering objectives.
