Job Description

The Business Development Manager is responsible for selling new accounts within a specific territory for our Autos vertical.

The right candidate has the entrepreneurial drive required to set meetings with clients “ well teach you how to do this. Youll be selling in person, so a professional presence is critical. Whether you have experience or youre new to this business, you must be willing to learn the Buyerlink way of selling. Weve cultivated this process for 18 years. If you follow the instructions, youll make sales. Your base salary will be competitive, but the most successful salespeople are here for the unlimited commissions, not the salary. You should be un-apologetically motivated by money.

Key Responsibilities

Proactively manage all phases of the business development and account sell cycle including lead identification, qualification, proposal development, client meetings and post-sale account set up.

Meet and exceed sales quotas for program services.

Learn and utilize our sales process to close the gap between the value of our solutions and the prospective customers perceived value.

Manage a healthy pipeline of new business opportunities, accurately identify sales stage progression, and deliver a monthly sales forecast that will be within plus or minus 5% of actual sales results.

Understand the automotive retail dealership operating environment, business model, digital and traditional marketing strategies and associated key performance indicators.

Ideal Candidate

Consultative business development professional who believes a well-designed conversational strategy is more effective in solutions sales than pitching and presenting.

Recognize that in todays transparent marketplace professional and personal integrity is essential; making value promises that cant be delivered on are a liability to you and your companys brand.

Know that you have the requisite talent, ability, and internal motivation to succeed and would like to be recognized, fairly rewarded, and appreciated for your contributions to the business growth of the company you work for.

Have the ability to travel as needed “ 30% on average

Excellent verbal and written communication skills that enable you to make a positive impression whether on the phone, in-person, through email, or delivering a proposal.

Bonus Points (Not Requirements)

Previous sales experience (over the phone, door to door, retail stores, etc.)

Working knowledge of the digital marketing landscape including websites, SEO, social media, analytics, and content marketing.
