Farming Turtles is a year-round farm located in Exeter, RI. We are currently seeking a part-time Preventative Maintenance Technician to oversee the maintenance of our facility. This position requires an individual with a solid common sense understanding of machinery as well as excellent mechanical skills. Most of the equipment on the farm is designed specifically for our industry and may be unfamiliar so a general solid understanding of various machinery is required. Other responsibilities include:
Adhering to a structured general maintenance schedule
Changing water filters
Checking mouse traps
Grease and repair metal transport carts
Handling minor plumbing, electrical and carpentry tasks
Updating and maintaining computer monitoring records
We are flexible about days and hours worked but do require a regular schedule. This is a part-time position but can grow to be full-time for the right candidate.
