Description Our client is hiring a Sr. Accountant for their growing company. In this role, you will be primarily responsible for the preparation and execution of the monthly close process, working hand in hand with the Corporate Controller to ensure all accounting and finance operations are presented accurately and in accordance with GAAP.Responsibilities: Ensure the integrity of accounting information through recording, verifying, consolidating, and entering transactions. Maintain and balance subsidiary accounts by verifying, allocating, posting, and reconciling transactions and resolving discrepancies. Maintain the general ledger by transferring subsidiary accounts, preparing a trial balance, and reconciling entries. Prepare and record asset, liability, revenue, and expenses entries by compiling and analyzing account information. Summarize financial status by collecting information and preparing balance sheets, profit and loss, and other statements. Complete external audits by analyzing and scheduling general ledger accounts and providing information for auditors. Secure financial information by completing database backups. Protect the organization’s value by keeping information confidential. Avoid legal challenges by complying with legal requirements. Use MS Excel, including pivot tables, for financial analysis and reporting.Requirements Must have a minimum of 5 years of experience in public accounting or corporate accounting. Proficiency in Month End Close procedures is required. Must possess skills in Financial Statement Preparation. Experience with Journal Entries is necessary. Strong Financial Analysis skills are essential. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, especially in creating and using Excel Formulas, is required. Must hold a relevant degree in accounting, finance, or related field. Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Management Accountant (CMA) certification is a plus. Prior experience in the Construction/Contractor industry is desirable. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Proven ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure.
