About Us:
Located on Johns Island. We have 2 Kids (10/11) that go to school downtown.
I like to be very involved in my children's lives, but the move to Johns Island means most of my day is spent in the car, transporting the kids to school or activities. My husband travels a lot for work, and I often just need an extra hand!
We have a cleaning service and household manager/personal assistant, and we are looking to add a Nanny to help with some of the driving and childcare, especially when my husband is traveling.
About the Role:
This position's primary role involves transporting kids to school and activities, helping with homework, and being available during the day for the unexpected.
Ideally, we are looking for someone who can also care for our 3 dogs when we are traveling. A guest cottage is often available if you want to stay the night.
We also like to get away as a couple from time to time, and it would be amazing to find someone who can do occasional overnights with the kids.
Your workload will vary based on the time of year, our travel schedule, etc. Estimate between 20-40 hours per week.
Basically, during the school year, you will be on call during the weekdays if something comes up (ex., a sick child needs a pick-up, something needs to run to the school, help cover if the personal assistant is out, etc.).
This job involves driving a lot, and you will be compensated for your gas bill.
Responsibilities:
Year Round - As Needed
-Errands
-Meals: Preparing Simple Meals for the kids / occasionally helping with dinner prep or meal pick-up
-Scheduling Activities
-Misc. Typically tasks relating to kids.
School Year: (typically less hours, but same pay)
-Transport kids: (Gas paid to get to and from). Occasional morning drop-offs when dad is traveling (6:45 start). Pick-ups from school/activities.
-Homework Help: Provide guidance and support with schoolwork
-Sick Child: May need extra help
Summer Activities:
-Help transport the kids to various activities and provide supervision as needed.
-Play / Engage / Scheduling Activities: Parents want to minimize electronic time.
While Family is Away:
-Pet Care: Care for dogs
-Overnight Child Care: Be available for overnight stays when both parents are away (Optional - additional compensation may be provided)
-Optional Travel (Optional - additional compensation may be provided)
