A locally owned and operated engineering firm dedicated to providing top-notch engineering solutions is seeking a talented and motivated Geotechnical Engineer to join their dynamic team. Salary range is $75K-$115K based on experience
Responsibilities:
Conduct geotechnical investigations and site assessments
Perform soil and rock analysis to determine the engineering properties and suitability for construction projects
Design and oversee foundation systems, retaining walls, and other geotechnical structures
Collaborate with project teams to provide geotechnical recommendations and solutions
Prepare detailed reports, proposals, and technical documentation
Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations
Provide on-site support during construction phases to address geotechnical concerns
Utilize geotechnical software and tools to analyze data and develop designs
Requirements:
P.E. (Professional Engineer) or E.I.T. (Engineer in Training) certification
Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, or a related field
Strong knowledge of geotechnical engineering principles and practices
Proficiency in geotechnical software (e.g., Slope/W, PLAXIS, GeoStudio)
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel to project sites
