Thank you for considering a career at Roper St. Francis Healthcare!Scheduled Weekly Hours:40Work Shift:Days (United States of America)Job Summary:To perform duties of circulating, scrub, and monitoring of invasive cardiology procedures within approved scope of practice. Demonstrates an understanding of all invasive procedures, the equipment and supplies for each procedure, and indications for performing each procedure. Clean and restock lab as needed.Minimum Qualifications:Education: Graduate of accredited school of cardiovascular science; or graduate from accredited school of Radiologic Technology.Experience: One year of clinical work experience in a cath lab or demonstrated clinical work experience as a Special Procedures/Vascular Interventional Radiology Technologist preferredLicensure/Certification:Must achieve RCIS certification through Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) and Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist Registration with SC Board of Medical Examiners within 12 months of hire. Must have current American Heart Association BLS and ACLS for Healthcare Provider cards. If RT, must also be registered in Radiologic Technology by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (AART) and certified with SCRQSA.Primary Source Verification:ARRT: https://www.arrt.org/Registration/Verify-Credentials; SCRQSA: http://www.scrqsa.orgKnowledge/Skills: Must have a thorough understanding of Hemodynamic and ECG waveforms as well as cardiac outputs. Must have the ability to perform shunt calculations, aortic and mitral valve areas, and other diagnostic maneuvers while performing right and left heart studies. Have above average manual dexterity for the performance of diagnostic and interventional procedures. Must know all Catheter shapes and sizes and indications for each. Must have the ability to prioritize orders and tasks given during invasive procedures. Must understand disease processes, assessment skills, universal precautions, radiation safety concepts, and effective interpersonal communication skills. Give Medication under direct supervision of Physician.
