Looking for a pharmacy technician who is interested in working in the hospital setting! This position is a great move for someone who is looking to move up from retail pharmacy and gain new expereince in an exciting setting with a large team.CPhT is required! Description:A pharmacy technician assists pharmacists in various support activities and procedures involved in dispensing medical prescriptions. They gather, input, and double-check prescription, refill, and patient information, as well as receive and organize incoming supplies. Additionally, they might prepare labels and routine prepacked orders, and potentially handle certain clerical tasks related to the department.Outpatient hospital setting similar to a glorified retail pharmacy. -Support the OR, vaccine clinic, mail order, and other clinics within the hospitalRotate through the different stations of pharmacy each shit (normally in 1 station for a whole shift, or sometimes half a shift)
Register, filling, input, insurance/prior authorizations, call center (mail order), etc.
-Techs must be comfortable with patient interaction- depending on station they are in they will have to deal with patients face to face-Will be seeing a diverse patient population: transplant, sickle cell, pediatrics, internal medicine, employee medications, etc. -NO compounding but will be dispensing compounds-Super high volume 1200 scripts/day-Team: 50 total - pharmacists/interns/pharmacy techsSkills:Pharmacy, Cpht, Pharmacy technician certification, Retail pharmacy, Pharmacy technician license, Pharmacy technician certificate, Inventory, Data entry, Insurance, Inpatient, Outpatient, Prior authorization, Compounding, Fulfillment, Health careAdditional Skills & Qualifications:-1 year of pharm tech experience-PTCB highly preferred- must be active after 6 months of employment-SC State license with BOPIdeal Candidate/Soft Skills:-Good communication/ great customer service-Hardworking, someone who can hit the ground running-Takes initiative- does not stand still when slow, finds something to do -Good team work, able to collaborate with others-Stays out of dramaExperience Level:Entry LevelAbout Actalent Actalent is a global leader in engineering and sciences services and talent solutions.
