The Front Office & Billing Manager is responsible for the daily operations of the front office of the radiation oncology center and insuring an efficient and effective revenue cycle process, working with patients, partners and patient billing services. This position works closely with operations management and is responsible for work flow and staff schedules. Provides excellent customer service skills including problem solving, timely follow up and process improvement. Coordination of facilities needs including but not limited to phone system, answering service, cleaning department safety, and supply orders. Responsible for organizing and participating in staff meetings, operational meetings, and other quality improvement initiatives. Maintains all regulatory compliance.Responsible for the revenue-cycle activity of the center from pre-authorization through to answering of questions for the medical billing team. Tracks patient charges from pre-authorization through to billing and gathering any data for denials. Maintains and creates statistical data as required for and by the management of the department.Specific duties include, but are not limited to:
Oversee daily operations including but not limited to overseeing MD department coverage, clinic scheduling, understanding of billing/reimbursement, staffing needs in accordance to budget.
Create/maintain reporting metrics as requested by management. Ensures administrative regulatory compliance as deemed by Center/Partnership needs. IE: ACR, DPH
Responsible for the revenue cycle activity of the center; working in coordination with billing/reimbursement team to ensure staff has obtained appropriate referrals/ authorizations for services, capture and code procedures, and gather data for claim denial remittance.
Oversees supervision of team members, including performance management, hiring/selection, orientation, scheduling and insuring team members basic employment needs are met.
Develops, contributes, and participates with management team projects and quarterly meeting presentations.
Position Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience required.
RHIT Certification required.
3 or more years supervising team members required.
Experience with medical reimbursements and billing required. Prefer certified coder.
2 years medical/oncology office experience preferred or equivalent related experience and/or education required.
Proficient in Microsoft Office.
