Odd Duck Market is a community-focused cafe and retail market hybrid. Our retail component relies heavily on local vendors for proteins, produce and dairy as well as specialty gourmet vendors for dry goods, wine, beer, convenience items and gifts.
Our goal is to create a positive, rewarding working environment. Both of the founders have worked soul-crushing, thankless jobs and have no interest at all in creating experiences like that for other people.
Above all, the ideal candidate will have a passion for customer engagement and service. We’re currently hiring team members with both front and back of house experience. Front of house tasks include working the register, preparing coffee, consulting with customers, maintaining store cleanliness and helping with administrative tasks. Back of house tasks include preparing breakfast items, sandwiches and salads, maintaining kitchen cleanliness, etc. Because we’re a small operation, you may occasionally be required to perform tasks from both FOH and BOH. While previous experience is always encouraged, we’re prepared to train folks who are eager to learn.
