Post House in Mount Pleasant is seeking a HOUSEMAN. The houseman’s duty is to keep the restaurant and inn clean and organized and assist with any necessary furniture moving or maintenance as needed with a can-do attitude.
Our priorities are cleanliness, consistency, and exceptional guest experience. We are seeking an independent worker who will take initiative and ownership of the role. Applicants should have prior cleaning or maintenance experience and a wonderful attitude! We are seeking to hire one PART-TIME houseman, working 5 days per week (Monday through Friday) from 7am to 11am.
Houseman responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Sweeping, mopping, dusting, and maintaining general cleanliness in the restaurant and inn.
Cleaning bathrooms thoroughly on a daily basis.
Changing all air filters on a regular schedule.
Assisting with any furniture moving or arranging needed for the day’s private events.
Helping with maintenance requests whenever possible, including painting touch ups, bike tune ups, changing lightbulbs, and small repair tasks.
Assisting with errands as needed.
Following all required safety and standard operating procedures.
Following all company regulatory policies.
Climbing stairs and carrying up to 50 pounds.

Salary: Starting at $19 per hour, dependent on experience
Shift: 4 hour shift
Experience: 1 year (Preferred), or a quick learner!
