Wanted - Experienced Heavy Equipment Mechanic
Full-time, 1099 contract position, Monday - Friday
$20-$30 per hour, depending on experience
Responsibilities for heavy equipment mechanic
Inspect, repair, and replace defective or worn parts, such as bearings, pistons, and gears.
Overhaul and test major components, such as engines, hydraulic, and electrical systems.
Perform scheduled maintenance, such as cleaning and lubricating parts.
Diagnose and identify malfunctions using computerized tools and equipment.
Disassemble and reassemble heavy equipment and components.
Perform final checks on installation, repair, inspection, reassembly, replacement, refitting, and adjusting products as required.
Troubleshoot and repair electrical and hydraulic systems, diesel engines, transmissions, drive trains, and tracks.
Perform outdoor duties as required, greasing and replacing tracks in extreme weather conditions, etc.
Frequently lift and carry 50 lbs., and push and pull 100 lbs.
Qualifications for heavy equipment mechanic
A minimum of 5 years’ experience in heavy equipment maintenance and repair is required.
Experience on a broad range of heavy construction, forestry, and compact equipment, such as: Bobcat, Case, Caterpillar, Hitachi, John Deere, Komatsu, Kubota, Volvo, etc.
State inspector, ASE, and dealership certifications are a plus.
