We are hiring for an experienced Field Service Technician in the Charleston, SC area.
Area of work will be Beaufort, Charleston, Mount Pleasant, and Georgetown areas of South Carolina.
A Field Service Technician job responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Leading a 2-man service crew to handle the following duties:
o Responding to Emergency Roof Leak calls
o Roof Repair and Maintenance
o Tenant upfits/improvements
o Roof maintenance inspections
Assist with roof inspections, surveying and estimating.
Assist with job Hazard Analyses, daily documentation, procurement, and accountability for materials and equipment required for work orders
Perform pre-job roof inspections and assist in staging roof areas with all other equipment and required materials
Inspect safety equipment daily and ensure all company equipment is in safe working condition
Service can vary in size from General housekeeping to minor repairs, re-roofs, and new construction installations up to 1,000 square feet
Spann Roofing & Sheet Metal, Inc. services will be performed on a wide variety of roofing systems, both flat and sloped, including:
Built-up roofing (cold and torch-applied assemblies)
Coatings
Single-ply membranes (EPDM/TPO/PVC)
Metal roofing and flashings
Shingles, slate, tile and other steep-slope roof system
Our Requirements:
MUST HAVE A VALID DRIVER’S LICENSE
Roofing experience is required for this position.
Must be a team player.
Must want to learn and be willing to advance within the company.
Commitment to customer service and customer satisfaction is a must.
Travel required with the use of a company service truck.
Ability to operate construction software on smartphones, tablets, and computers.
Knowledge of OSHA safety requirements (OSHA 10-hour certification a plus).
Must be capable of strenuous activity required to tear-off, carry, and dispose of roofing material.
