Here at Santee Southern, LLC, We are seeking reliable and motivated individuals for the position of 26ft Box Truck Driver and Helper. This role involves delivering goods efficiently while providing excellent customer service. The position offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment, supporting logistics and warehouse operations. Candidates should be comfortable with heavy lifting, route driving, and operating commercial vehicles, including 26 foot box trucks. Both driver and helper roles are paid positions, suitable for those interested in a hands-on, customer centered delivery career.
Responsibilities
Safely operate 26ft commercial box trucks for local route deliveries, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations
Load and unload household appliances using pallet jacks or manual handling techniques
Assist with route planning and navigation to ensure timely deliveries
Provide exceptional customer service during delivery interactions, addressing customer questions or concerns professionally
Deliver and install appliances such as washing machines, dryers, refrigerators, dishwashers, and ovens.
Maintain accurate delivery records, including mileage, fuel usage, and delivery times.
Conduct routine maintenance checks on the truck (oil levels, tire pressure, brakes, etc.).
Adhere to all safety protocols and traffic regulations while driving.
MUST be able to install dishwashers, washer & dryers, refrigerator, ovens, microwaves, and gas ranges
Skills
Proven experience as a delivery driver or courier, preferably with box trucks or similar commercial vehicles
Strong customer service skills to ensure positive interactions with clients
Warehouse experience including loading, unloading, and inventory management preferred
Familiarity of simple appliance installs and basic mechanical ability preferred
Familiarity with route driving, load & unload procedures, and safety protocols
Experience with heavy lifting, moving items, and using pallet jacks
Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record (REAL ID preferred); professional driver experience is a plus
Compensation:
Pay range: Based on 6-day workweek: (helper $810 weekly) – (driver $1020 weekly). THE FIRST PAYCHECK GOES OUT AFTER A TWO-WEEK HOLD (RXO)
