Summary This position is in the Bureau of the Comptroller and Global Financial Services (CGFS), Deputy Comptroller for Financial Operations and Global Compensation, Managing Director for Global Financial Operations (CGFS/F). This position serves as an Information Technology (IT) Specialist in system analysis and applications software design and implementation typically involve feasibility studies to determine requirements for developing or making modifications to existing applications software. Responsibilities Serves as senior project manager (PM) responsible for managing and leading projects to support the financial service centers, bureaus, and post users in the use of various financial and related systems deployed in the Department. Provides technical support to team in analyzing and assessing Department's overseas and domestic resource management system requirements to develop project goals, objectives, and milestones in implementing effective and efficient systems. Evaluates the impact of changes in policy or regulations that affect business operations to be automated to adjust system designs to accommodate those changes. Consults with managers and contract staff in determining resource requirements for the program including funding, staffing, and facilities. Serves as a technical advisor and expert in automated accounting systems and operations in working with program managers, operating accountants, and other financial support personnel. Problem Solving - Identifies problems; determines accuracy and relevance of information; uses sound judgment to generate and evaluate alternatives, and to make recommendations. AND Have at least 1 full year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 level in the Federal service which provided you with the particular knowledge, skills and abilities to perform the duties of the position. Qualifying specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Experience managing projects related to web-based system and automation. Experience providing technical support to team to develop project goals, and objectives in implementing effective and efficient system and automation. Experience analyzing and evaluating programs and reporting new methods to improve information technology (IT) operations to upper management. NOTE: In order to qualify for this position, your experience MUST be IT related; the experience may be demonstrated by paid or unpaid experience and/or completion of specific, intensive training (for example, IT certification), as appropriate.
