The Senior Transportation Design Manager is responsible for leading the successful delivery of North Carolina transportation infrastructure projects while serving as a trusted advisor to clients and a leader to North Carolina based project teams. This role combines technical leadership, project management, client engagement, and business development responsibilities to support both project execution and strategic growth. The role is well-suited for someone who enjoys building teams, solving complex challenges, and creating long-term value for clients.  Key ResponsibilitiesLead the planning, design, and delivery of North Carolina transportation infrastructure projects ensuring achievement of project objectives related to scope, schedule, budget, and quality.Provide technical leadership and oversight to multidisciplinary teams throughout project development, design, and implementation.Serve as a Project Manager or Task Leader on complex assignments, coordinating resources and facilitating collaboration among internal and external stakeholders.Build and maintain strong relationships with transportation agencies, municipal clients, and other project partners through proactive engagement and exceptional service.Support the identification, development, and capture of new business opportunities within existing and emerging transportation markets.Contribute to proposal preparation, pursuit strategies, client presentations, and interview activities to help secure new work.Mentor and develop engineering and project management staff, promoting technical excellence, collaboration, and professional growth.Support strategic initiatives that enhance project delivery, strengthen client relationships, and expand the firm's transportation infrastructure practice.
