Afterhours Upgrades is seeking a young professional interested in a career in information technology and customer support to work with our IT staff in Columbia, SC. The contractor will be responsible for providing quality support with a high degree of customer satisfaction on technical and operational inquiries in a professional and timely manner for internal and external customers.
Responsibilities:
The tasks required for this position will be set in a professional atmosphere and therefore the appropriate business casual attire is expected.
Some of the day to day tasks and expectations will include:
Troubleshooting hardware and software
Performing password resets
Conducting daily backups
Testing and installing hardware/software.
Setting up new users with equipment and software as needed
Escalating major issues to the supervisor
Interacting with end users in a positive and respectful manner
Researching new technologies for the client
Networking, both setup and maintain
Server maintenance, both in house, virtual, and AWS
Setup and configuration of Shoretel and Oaisys phone systems
Qualifications:
Interest in technology field
Great interpersonal skills
Network administration and firewall/VPN knowledge is preferred
