Accounting Manager/Supervisor

Description We are in search of an Accounting Manager/Supervisor to join our team in the non-profit industry, located in Columbia, South Carolina. As an Accounting Manager/Supervisor, you will be tasked with overseeing critical accounting functions, maintaining financial software systems, and managing both accounts payable and receivable. This role offers a short term contract employment opportunity.Responsibilities: Oversee and manage the general accounting functions, including, but not limited to: accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and taxes Work with accounting software systems to streamline procedures and improve efficiency Manage the accurate processing of customer credit applications and maintain customer credit records Utilize ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning systems for financial planning and management Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance with established financial regulations and standards Oversee and manage billing functions, ensuring all invoices are issued and paid in a timely manner Utilize Great Plains (GPAC) and NetSuite for financial management and operations Resolve customer inquiries related to accounting and billing Monitor customer accounts regularly, taking necessary actions based on account activity. Requirements Proficient in Accounting Software Systems Familiar with ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning Experience in managing Accounting Functions Knowledge in handling Accounts Payable (AP) Skills in managing Accounts Receivable (AR) Proficient in Auditing procedures and practices Experience in Billing Functions Familiarity with Great Plains (GPAC) software Proficiency in using NetSuite software A degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred Excellent communication and leadership skills Strong organizational and multitasking abilities Ability to work in a fast-paced, non-profit environment.
