Accounting Specialist Opportunity in Columbia,MD!Description:We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accounting Specialist with a focus on accounts payable to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in managing accounts payable processes, proficiency in QuickBooks, exceptional expense management skills, and advanced Excel knowledge.

Responsibilities: Process accounts payable transactions accurately and timely, ensuring adherence to company policies and procedures. Review and verify invoices, expense reports, and purchase orders for accuracy and completeness.

Prepare and process vendor payments, including checks, ACH transfers, and wire transfers.

Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.

Maintain organized and up-to-date vendor files and records.

Assist with month-end close activities, including accruals and journal entries related to accounts payable.

Collaborate with internal departments to resolve payment and invoice inquiries.

Generate reports and provide analysis related to accounts payable and expense management as needed.

Assist with the implementation of process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy.

Provide support to the accounting team as needed.

Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred. Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.

Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Effective communication and interpersonal skills.

Proven ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.

Experience with expense management software/tools is a plus.
