Description
Process vendor invoices accurately and efficiently.
Review and verify invoice details such as amounts, terms, and coding.
Obtain necessary approvals for invoices prior to payment processing.
Reconcile vendor statements and resolve any discrepancies.
Prepare and process electronic transfers and payments.
Monitor accounts to ensure timely payments and avoid overdue balances.
Assist with month-end closing activities related to accounts payable.
Maintain accurate and organized records of invoices, payments, and transactions.
Respond to vendor inquiries and resolve any issues or concerns.
Assist in the implementation of accounts payable process improvements.
Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless workflow and communication.
Adhere to company policies, procedures, and accounting principles.
Provide support for audits and compliance reviews as needed.
Requirements
Proven experience as an Accounts Payable Specialist or similar role.
Proficiency in accounting software and MS Office, particularly Excel.
Strong understanding of accounts payable principles and procedures.
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record-keeping.
Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) is a plus.
