You would lead the forecasting and communication of all resource needs for the assigned Segment and solutions and support the development of the subsegment strategy with financial budgets and forecasts, goal setting, and business analytics. The Business Manager also supports Segment and Solutions leaders in business analysis and decision making and is accountable for effective management of segment business operations including continuous process improvement and supporting strategy development and implementation in coordination with the business sector, global operations and other organizational groups as required.Anchored by core values like collaboration and integrity, Black & Veatch is one of its kind in the world of engineering. We are looking for someone who can work out of our headquarters in Overland Park, KS but we are open to someone who can work out of another office location if needed.#LI-DS2Key ResponsibilitiesLeads in near and long-term segment resource forecasting.
Liaison to BV Operations on staffing needs to support portfolio of proposals, projects, and segment operations.
Manages and supports segment hiring plans.
Leads segment portfolio risk and opportunities assessment for financial forecasts.
Coordinates process improvements in support of segment objectives.
Management ResponsibilitiesSupervises work of others. Responsible for hiring, discipline, and pay administration of their subordinates.Preferred Qualifications10+ years of project or operations related experience with progressive managerial/leadership roles within the power or oil and gas industries.
This should include project experience from one of the following backgrounds: project controls, engineering, project management, project finance, or procurement.
Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, construction management, or related fields.
Ability to effectively communicate with diverse stakeholder groups.
Experience with project financialsand managerial finance.
Working knowledge of commercial terms and conditions.
