As a Proposal Coordinator, you will have the opportunity to work with a proposal development team that includes engineers and subject matter experts to manage proposal efforts and incorporate best practices to develop client-centric, visually appealing and compliant sales documents. The role is always interesting, as each proposal has it owns unique blend of layout design, writing, and solution offerings to meet a wide range of client needs. In this role, you will:

Complete tasks with minimal day-to-day supervision as you drive the proposal through completion

Utilize team support any time you need it to grow in your role at Black & Veatch

Design proposals using strong writing and InDesign skills

The Governments & Environment Sales & Pursuits team collaborates with business leaders and client-facing professionals to plan and execute strategies and develop pursuit and proposal materials with focused messaging and content. Key Responsibilities

Manage activities during the development of RFP responses including kick-off calls, iterative reviews, document production, and interview prep

Research and gather proposal materials, including drafting non-technical content using boilerplate materials or prior proposals

Develop proposal layout and content using an InDesign template

Work with the proposal team to conceptualize design elements and develop simple graphics or coordinate with our in-house graphic designers

Drive proposal progress to meet scheduled milestones and compliance with the RFP

Review, proo and edit proposals for clarity and grammar

Experience in a fast-paced A/E/C environment and working with multiple deadlines

Intermediate skills in creative layout using Adobe InDesign and Acrobat required

Confident personality with strong interpersonal skills

Organizational skills and attention to detail

Ability to prioritize competing deadlines

Minimum Qualifications

5+ years of project or proposal experience
