Description We are offering a contract employment opportunity for a PART TIME Controller in Columbia, South Carolina. This role is in the distribution industry and will involve managing a variety of accounting functions. You will be working with ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning and other accounting software systems, handling tasks related to accounts receivable, auditing, and budgeting processes. Responsibilities Handle month-end close, annual reconciliations, balance sheet, and GL, inventory adjustments, asset schedules, payroll adjustments, expenses and audit schedules, and depreciation. Oversee Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Banking, Sales, Use and Property Tax, and Reconciliations. Utilize Accounting Software Systems and ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning to manage accounting functions efficiently. Ensure accurate and timely auditing processes. Manage budget processes and make necessary adjustments to align with company goals.Requirements Minimum of 7 years of experience in a financial controller role or similar position Proficient in Accounting Software Systems Familiarity with ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning In-depth understanding of Accounting Functions Experience in managing Accounts Receivable (AR) Proven skills in Auditing Strong knowledge of Budget Processes Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field is required Excellent communication and presentation skills Strong analytical, strategic planning, and problem-solving skills Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks High level of honesty, integrity, and ethics Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel Excellent leadership and team management skills Ability to work with cross-functional teams CPA or similar certification would be an advantage.
