Description We are seeking a Customer Service Representative-CWB (Chubb Workplace Benefits) to join our team in Columbia, South Carolina. This role will primarily involve handling customer interactions through both inbound and outbound calls and emails within the context of our Chubb Workplace Benefits contact center. This permanent employment opportunity offers a dynamic and fast-paced work environment where attention to detail, strong communication skills, and problem-solving abilities are highly valued.Responsibilities: Delivering exceptional customer experiences is a key aspect of this role You will be expected to efficiently and professionally manage incoming telephone calls in our high-volume contact center Taking ownership of and ensuring timeliness in handling customer requests is crucial Rapid rapport building and responding to customers in a compassionate manner is required You will need to navigate multiple systems and applications to research, analyze, and resolve customer inquiries Maintaining performance and quality standards is an integral part of this role You will be asked to analyze information to make appropriate decisions and solve problems while maintaining a positive phone experience Learning the basic concepts of personal lines insurance principles and products offered to our CWB customers is necessary Collaborating with team members and business partners to provide a positive customer experience is expected You may be required to work overtime and weekends as needed Assisting with special requests and completing additional tasks as assigned is part of this role. Requirements Proven experience in Customer Service roles, with a focus on delivering high-quality service to clients Excellent Communication Skills, with the ability to effectively convey information to diverse audiences Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, required for data management and analysis Demonstrated understanding of Operations in the insurance or similar industry Strong Research skills, necessary for problem-solving and decision-making Experience handling Inbound and Outbound Calls, ensuring detail oriented and efficient communication Knowledge of Insurance principles and practices, particularly in relation to workplace benefits Familiarity with 'About Time' software or similar time management tools Understanding of Benefit Functions and how they apply to the workplace Experience with Hiring Processes, indicating the ability to work well in a team Knowledge of Revenue Accounting, demonstrating an understanding of financial practices Ability to Perform Ad Hoc Financial tasks, showing flexibility and adaptability Experience with Claim Administration, particularly in the context of workplace benefits Understanding of Property insurance, demonstrating a broad knowledge base in the insurance field Exceptional Collaboration skills, essential for working with diverse teams Basic understanding of general business Principles Strong Computer Skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software Ability to work Onsite, demonstrating commitment and reliability Decision-Making skills, with the ability to make informed choices in a fast-paced environment Knowledge of Underwriting practices, particularly in the context of workplace benefits Understanding of Salary Structures, demonstrating a comprehensive knowledge of HR practices Ability to work with Business Partners, indicating strong interpersonal skills Experience managing Disability Claims, showing a deep understanding of workplace benefits Commitment to maintaining Quality Standards, ensuring a high level of service at all times.
