Job DescriptionThe Oracle OCI team is looking for a Data Center Design CAD manager to join our team, someone who innovates & shares our passion for winning in the cloud marketplace. You will work closely with the data center, development organization and Oracle vendors to build out, maintain and operationally improve the cloud infrastructure. The successful candidate will focus, in part, on the following key responsibilities:ResponsibilitiesAs a CAD manager, you will:
Support the Data Center Design Engineers and organization on all CAD related issues
Work closely with a team of Software engineers to help build custom CAD and design tools
Review and approve CAD drawings and documents for compliance with specifications and standards
Develop and implement CAD policies, procedures, and guidelines to improve efficiency and quality
Create and maintain design templates, blocks, and libraries for various projects and disciplines
Provide training and support to the CAD team and other staff on CAD software and techniques
Coordinate with engineers, designers, and other stakeholders to ensure CAD deliverables meet expectations and requirements
Manage and update project folders and files and ensure proper documentation and archiving
Capture and verify as-built and project close-out data and prepare reports and presentations
Research and evaluate new CAD technologies and trends and make recommendations for improvement
Desired Skills
A degree in engineering, architecture, or equivalent work experience
At least 5 years of experience in CAD drafting, design, and management in an international design environment
Proficiency in AutoCAD and other CAD software and tools (Revit, Visio, etc.)
Knowledge of industry best practices and standards for CAD/BIM production
Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
Experience leveraging design data to accelerate the build process through automation
Experience using scripting and code to drive automation in a production CAD environment

Paid time off: Flexible Vacation is provided to all eligible employees assigned to a salaried (non-overtime eligible) position. Accrued Vacation is provided to all other employees eligible for vacation benefits. For employees working at least 35 hours per week, the vacation accrual rate is 13 days annually for the first three years of employment and 18 days annually for subsequent years of employment. Vacation accrual is prorated for employees working between 20 and 34 hours per week. Employees working fewer than 20 hours per week are not eligible for vacation.
