Entry Processing Team Member

This night shift press operator position will require a self-directed, team-oriented individual, who demonstrates pride and ownership in his/her work. This position will be required to make changes to recipes and adjust temperatures and humidity. Will be responsible for changeovers. Routinely initiate die changes, die washing and die repair.

Perform all necessary changeovers and related activities on a timely basis to execute the required production schedule.

Monitor lines hourly to check transfer points to ensure product quality.

Load powder ingredients and perform cleaning and repairs of this equipment.

Perform cleaning, preventive maintenance and spring replacements on bow tie machines.

Operate system to adjust presses, dryers and bulk-handling systems to specifications.

Perform daily QA checks testing to check moisture readings and properly document results.

Ensure work areas are clean, and that Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP’s) are fully complied with.

Ensure compliance with all safety programs and maintain hazard free work areas.

Qualifications/Education/Experience/SkillsTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Must possess basic math, especially using a tape measure to measure length.

Must possess a basic mechanical aptitude.

Basic troubleshooting and problem-solving skills would be helpful.

Solid understanding of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP’s)

Demonstrate ability to interpret equipment drawings.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee will be required to move about the facility.

The employee is required to stand and walk 50 percent of the shift.

The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds unassisted.

Must be able to stoop, kneel, climb and work at high elevations for extended periods of time.

Must possess color vision acuity and depth perception.

Must be able to vocally communicate in a frequently noisy environment.

Must be able to work in an environment that is above 90 degrees Fahrenheit for extended periods of time.

EDUCATION:

High School Diploma or GED required

Minimum of 3 years' work experience in manufacturing (preferably food manufacturing) is required
