Hire contractors for specialized or extensive maintenance work, purchase supplies from approved sources, and maintain maintenance records. Ensure compliance with corporate and The Joint Commission regulations by working with other department heads. Prepare daily and monthly schedules for department staff, conduct training on life safety and other programs, and perform routine inspections of HVAC and emergency/disaster systems and equipment. Provide reports on all life safety and maintenance issues, and work with the business office to maintain appropriate permits and licensing.Qualifications & RequirementsEducation
Bachelor’s/Master’s Degree engineering, construction, or business required.
Experience
Ten (10) years of facilities management experience with five (5) having been in a management capacity.
Experience in a healthcare or institutional setting.
Experience in life-safety systems, computerized work order management and preventive maintenance systems.
