Description In this role, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, monitoring, and managing the local and wide area networks of an organization to ensure maximum uptime for users. You will also be responsible for designing system configurations, documenting and managing the installation of a new network, and maintaining and upgrading existing systems as necessary.Here are some of the specific responsibilities of the role:· Design and implement new network solutions and/or improve the efficiency of current networks· Install, configure, and support network equipment including routers, proxy servers, switches, WAN accelerators, DNS and DHCP· Procure network equipment and manage subcontractors involved with network installation· Configure firewalls, routing, and switching to maximize network efficiency and security· Maximize network performance through ongoing monitoring and troubleshooting· Arrange scheduled upgrades· Investigate faults in the network· Update network equipment to the latest firmware releases· Report network status to key stakeholdersRequirements · Degree and/or 5+ years of experience as a Network Technician, Admin, Engineer, etc.· Desired certifications: CCNA, CCNP, Juniper, Fortinet, Palo Alto, Ruckus· Ability to build out new network infrastructure from scratch· Prior experience with Cisco/Meraki devices· Successful implementation of WAN/SD WAN solutionsTechnology Doesn't Change the World, People Do.® Robert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
