Job Description:The population Health analyst collects, reviews, and reports on large and complex data sets.Job Essentials:

Downloads, organizes, reviews, and manipulates large datasets from various sources.

Inputs financial and quality data for forecasting, data analysis, and tracking purposes.

Supports contracting and payer data analytics teams with expertise in data provided by insurance payers.

Integrates datasets from external sources into financial and contract models to measure performance in payer contracts.

Tests complex projection models for clinically integrated network specializing in value-based contracts.

Understands and conceptualizes financial funds flow models and monthly payment distributions to primary care practices.

Communicates effectively with customers and business partners (insurance payers) to ensure timely deliverables.

Develops understanding of health plan structures in order to effectively track key cost and utilization metrics.

Conceptualizes, structures, and performs other analytical projects as required.

Promotes mission, vision, and values of Intermountain Health, and abides by service behavior standards.

Minimum Requirements

Bachelors degree (will be verified)

Demonstrated understanding of analytic principles and tools

Preferred qualifications

Degree in Finance, Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, or healthcare-related field

Two (2) years in healthcare analytics
