Job Title: Traffic Flaggers – Columbia, SC

4:00 AM – 8:00 AM
5:00 PM – 9:00 PM
Pay Rate: $22 per hour
Job Description:
We are looking for 18 reliable and safety-conscious flaggers to assist with traffic control during an event in Columbia, SC. As a flagger, you will play a crucial role in ensuring smooth traffic flow, directing vehicles and pedestrians safely around the event area, and contributing to the overall success of the event.
Responsibilities:
Direct traffic in a safe and organized manner using hand signals, flags, or stop/slow paddles.
Ensure vehicles and pedestrians follow proper traffic patterns and avoid hazards.
Communicate with event staff and other flaggers to ensure seamless operations and safety.
Assist with setting up and taking down signage, cones, and barriers around the event site.
Monitor and respond to any traffic-related issues or concerns, immediately reporting incidents to supervisors.
Maintain a high level of alertness and focus throughout your shift to ensure safety.
Follow all safety protocols and procedures to prevent accidents or injuries.
Requirements:
Previous flagger or traffic control experience preferred (training can be provided).
Ability to work outdoors for extended periods in various weather conditions.
Strong communication skills and ability to work with others as part of a team.
Ability to stand for long periods and move around the traffic area.
Must be reliable and punctual for scheduled shifts.
Must be able to follow instructions and safety guidelines closely.
Ability to lift and move traffic control equipment (cones, signs, etc.).
