Responsibilities:
oversee day to day culinary operation
coordinate food orders
check freshness and quality of ingredients
assist in the development of menu items
standardize recipes and plates preparations
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the sushi station
Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure timely food preparation and delivery
Monitor inventory levels and place orders for sushi ingredients
Train and supervise junior sushi chefs
Qualifications:
5+year’s previous experience in sushi related field, culinary arts and/or cooking
In-depth knowledge of various sushi types and sushi-rolling techniques
Proficiency in working with sharp knives and other kitchen equipment
knowledge of cost and labor system
passion for food and cooking techniques
ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
Strong communication and teamwork skills within the culinary team
Flexibility to work evening, weekend, and holiday as needed.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $17.00 - $22.00 per hour
$5000 - $6500 per month
Expected hours: 30 – 50 per week
