About the Role:
We are seeking a Part-Time Art Preservation Project Manager to assist with the preservation of historic stone artwork at a significant property in Columbia, South Carolina. This role will involve representing the property owner during discussions with Art Preservation Officers and legal experts from the General Services Administration (GSA).
The successful candidate will lead a guided tour of the property, participate in preservation discussions, and document recommendations for future action.
Responsibilities:
Act as the on-site contact for GSA representatives and preservation experts.
Provide a detailed tour of the property, highlighting areas with historic stone artwork and architectural significance.
Facilitate discussions on preservation needs and strategies.
Document all discussions and recommendations to aid in future planning.
Ensure coordination of follow-up actions after the meeting.
Requirements:
Background in art preservation, historic preservation, architecture, or a related field.
Experience with preservation projects is strongly preferred.
Strong organizational and communication skills.
Availability to be on-site in Columbia, South Carolina
