Responsibilities:
A manufacturing maintenance technician installs, repairs, and maintains machinery, performing both preventive and corrective maintenance to ensure equipment runs smoothly and safely.
Key responsibilities include troubleshooting mechanical and electrical issues, fabricating parts, conducting safety checks, and keeping detailed maintenance records. This role requires a diverse skill set, including knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, schematics, and various hand and power tools.
​Qualifications:
Technical skills: Proficiency in reading blueprints, technical manuals, and electrical schematics. Experience with tools such as mills, lathes, welders, and presses is often required.
Troubleshooting ability: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify the root cause of equipment failures.
Mechanical and electrical knowledge: In-depth understanding of industrial systems, including electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic components.
Physical abilities: Ability to lift and manipulate heavy equipment and stand for long periods.
Communication skills: Good verbal and written communication skills for interacting with team members and writing reports.
Computer skills: Basic computer skills for reporting and using maintenance management systems.
Safety awareness: Knowledge of OSHA standards and a strong commitment to workplace safety.
