Job Summary:
The Customer Service Representative (CSR) plays a key role in ensuring excellent customer experience in our insurance office. This individual serves as the first point of contact for clients, providing information about insurance policies, assisting with claims, processing payments, and resolving customer inquiries with professionalism and accuracy.
Key Responsibilities:
Greet clients in-person, over the phone, and via email in a friendly and professional manner.
Answer questions regarding policy coverage, billing, claims, and procedures.
Process policy changes, renewals, cancellations, and endorsements.
Collect and process premium payments.
Maintain and update client records in agency management systems.
Assist agents with preparing quotes and applications for new and existing customers.
Follow up on customer inquiries to ensure satisfaction and issue resolution.
Handle documentation and filing in compliance with company and regulatory standards.
Support office operations and other team members as needed.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED required; associate or bachelor’s degree preferred.
Previous experience in customer service, preferably in an insurance or financial services environment.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
Familiarity with insurance products (Auto, Home, Life, etc.) is a plus.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
Must be licensed in property and casualty insurance (or willing to obtain license shortly after hire, if required by state law).
