We specialize in crafting high-end boat covers, enclosures, and custom marine upholstery with a focus on exceptional quality, detail, and craftsmanship. As a growing company, we take pride in our work, our relationships, and our commitment to doing things the right way.
Position Overview
We’re looking for a motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Sewing Machine Operator. This is a hands-on, on-site position with strong potential for career growth as we continue to expand.
What You’ll Do:

Assist with shop tasks, material handling, and preparation of fabrics
Learn to operate industrial sewing machines and related equipment
Sew and assemble large marine covers, including full boat and individual component covers
Handle large, heavy fabrics and materials safely and efficiently
Contribute to maintaining a clean, organized, and professional shop environment
What We’re Looking For:
Prior sewing experience (personal, professional, or industrial)
Attention to detail and pride in craftsmanship
Willingness to learn, take direction, and grow with the company
Ability to handle physical aspects of the job (lifting fabric rolls, maneuvering large covers)
Dependable, punctual, and team-oriented attitude
Why Join Midlands Canvas:
Be part of a growing company with room for advancement
Hands-on experience working with high-end materials and custom fabrication
Supportive, small-team environment where your work truly matters
Casual, comfortable workplace focused on craftsmanship and quality
If you take pride in your work and want to learn a unique and rewarding trade, we’d love to hear from you.
