This role is primarily responsible for handling critical inventory transactions, including material transfers, Return to Stock (RTS) processing, cycle counts, and resolving inventory discrepancies. The Material Handler Level 3 works closely with warehouse, kitting, and production teams to ensure accurate and timely management of inventory, supporting smooth operations and maintaining data integrity in the inventory system. This position requires a high degree of attention to detail, problem-solving ability, and proficiency with inventory management systems to ensure that materials are correctly accounted for and readily available for production and other internal needs.Roles and Responsibilities:Inventory Management & Transactions:

Material Transfers: Perform accurate and timely transfer of materials between departments or storage locations, ensuring that all transactions are properly logged in the inventory management system.

Return to Stock (RTS): Handle the RTS process for materials returning from the production line or other departments, ensuring that materials are inspected, reconciled, and correctly returned to stock.

Cycle Counting: Participate in regular cycle counting activities to verify physical inventory against system records, ensuring accuracy in stock levels and location data.

Discrepancy Resolution: Investigate and correct inventory discrepancies, working with warehouse, quality, and production teams to determine the root cause of issues such as mismatches in material counts or misplaced stock.

Inventory Adjustments: Process adjustments to inventory when necessary, ensuring that all changes are properly documented and approved in accordance with company policies.

Inventory Integrity & Process Improvement:

Data Accuracy: Ensure that all inventory transactions are completed with accuracy and in a timely manner, minimizing discrepancies between physical and system records.

System Updates: Update inventory management systems (e.g., ERP or WMS) with all relevant transaction data, ensuring up-to-date stock information for all stakeholders.

Stock Reconciliation: Assist with reconciling inventory at the end of reporting periods or after large inventory movements, ensuring alignment between system records and physical inventory.

Error Prevention: Identify common sources of inventory errors, such as incorrect material handling or system entry issues, and propose improvements to minimize recurring problems.

Collaboration & Communication:

Cross-Department Collaboration: Work closely with the warehouse, kitting, production, and quality teams to ensure materials are transferred, stocked, and available when needed.

Internal Communication: Maintain clear communication with relevant departments about stock levels, material availability, and any ongoing inventory issues that may affect production schedules.

Reporting: Assist in preparing and delivering regular reports on inventory status, discrepancies, and cycle count results to warehouse supervisors and inventory control personnel.

Compliance & Safety:

Adherence to Procedures: Follow all standard operating procedures related to inventory transactions, material handling, and safety guidelines.

Safety Standards: Ensure all work is conducted in accordance with health and safety regulations, including the safe handling of materials and adherence to personal protective equipment (PPE) requirements.

Audit Readiness: Ensure that all inventory records and processes are audit-ready at all times, with proper documentation and compliance with internal policies and external regulations.

Job Qualifications:Education & Experience:

High School Diploma or Equivalent: Required. Additional technical coursework or certifications in inventory management, logistics, or warehousing is preferred.

Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in warehouse operations, inventory control, or a similar role, preferably within a tech manufacturing environment.

ERP/WMS System Proficiency: Experience using inventory management systems such as an Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system or Warehouse Management System (WMS) is required.

Technical Skills:

Inventory Transaction Expertise: Strong knowledge of inventory transactions, such as material transfers, RTS processing, cycle counting, and discrepancy correction.

Analytical Ability: Ability to interpret inventory data, spot discrepancies, and recommend solutions to maintain stock accuracy.

Attention to Detail: Excellent attention to detail in handling inventory transactions, data entry, and material tracking to ensure accuracy.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office: Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, Word, and other Office tools for inventory reporting and documentation.

Soft Skills & Competencies:

Problem-Solving Skills: Strong problem-solving skills, particularly in identifying and addressing inventory discrepancies and process inefficiencies.

Communication Skills: Clear and effective communication skills for coordinating with various departments and reporting inventory issues.

Team Collaboration: Ability to work well in a team environment, providing support to warehouse staff and cross-functional teams, while managing individual responsibilities.

Time Management: Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks while meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Additional Requirements:

Physical Ability: Ability to lift and move materials up to 50 lbs as required, stand for extended periods, and operate material handling equipment (e.g., forklifts) if certified.

Safety Compliance: Understanding of and adherence to workplace safety regulations and best practices, particularly in a warehouse or manufacturing environment.

On occasions, will act as a liaison between Production Control, Production Management and the Production line for issues related to inventory or shortages.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESStockroom / RTS:Put material away in the stockrooms using RF scanners in SAP and verify the associated transaction on the system.Pull kits and split them as required using the system base kit pull procedure.Scan kits to the G drive and pull shortages to make sure they are complete.Count all the material coming back from the line to unsure the system is accurate.Maintain box build areas organized and all their kan bans full of material.May perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.Other related duties as assigned, which could include:Physical and system movement of material to other location within Operations.Cycle counting of any area.Complete material disposition report forms.Accurately back flush material in the ERP system.May perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.Receiving:Follow the receiving procedure located on the ISO documents:Validate carton count against bill of lading on all deliveries, match packing to each lot material and note any exceptions.Sign for all material delivered to receiving dock, once the material has been validated against the bill of lading.Will validate purchase order, part number, quantity, and supplier, and complete the receipt to dock for production materials using the system.Perform de-trash shipments as required to eliminate trash in the stockroom or on the production line.May perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.Receiving InspectionFollow the receiving procedure located on the ISO documents:Read and follow inspection plans and special instruction for the inspection of incoming material.Verify packing slip, receipt and inventory quantities before passing inspection.Perform SAP transactions to move material to floor or other locations as required.Perform inventory adjustments (direct withdraw).Obtain Quality Control Inspection certification based upon IPCs Standard-A-610 and maintain annual re-certification.May perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.May perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.ShippingFollow the receiving procedure located on the ISO documents:Must understand shipping procedures and documentation required for both domestic and international.Schedule or manage transportation carriers using Jabil or customer carriers, as required using corporate guidelines.Accurately and safely perform necessary physical movements, systems transactions and verifications when required.Supports work cells month ends until all the shipments are done, which could include working a lot of extra hours.Operates any material handling equipment as needed.JOB QUALIFICATIONSKNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTSAbility to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.Ability to operate a personal computer including using a Windows based operating system and related software.Advanced PC skills, including training and knowledge of Jabils software packages.Ability to write simple correspondence.
