Remote Medical Assistant – Job Summary
As a Remote Medical Assistant with Snapcare, you’ll provide essential clinical and administrative support to healthcare providers entirely online. In this fully remote role, you’ll help ensure efficient patient care, accurate record-keeping, and smooth telehealth operations—all from your home office.
Key Responsibilities
Virtual Patient Coordination: Schedule and confirm telehealth appointments, send reminders, and respond to basic patient inquiries via phone, email, or secure chat.
Electronic Health Records (EHR) Management: Accurately enter, update, and organize patient information and clinical documentation in EHR systems.
Clinical Workflow Support: Triage incoming patient messages, forward clinical questions to appropriate team members, and monitor follow-ups on lab results and referrals.
Insurance & Billing Assistance: Gather insurance details, assist with electronic claim submissions, and help resolve billing inquiries with patients and payers.
Telehealth Platform Assistance: Guide patients through telehealth platform setup, troubleshoot basic technical issues, and escalate complex problems to IT support.
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent; CMA or RMA certification is a plus.
Proficiency with computers and electronic health record (EHR) software.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Reliable high-speed internet connection and a dedicated, quiet home workspace.
