Description We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Production Planner / Scheduler in the manufacturing industry in Gaffney, South Carolina. This role involves strategic management of production activities, with a focus on developing and coordinating production schedules to meet customer requirements. As a Production Planner / Scheduler, you will have an essential role in ensuring efficient and timely production of goods.Responsibilities: Develop and coordinate production schedules based on customer service department releases and sales forecasts. Analyze historical and current data to generate reports and formulate effective production schedules. Maximize resource utilization by ensuring materials, labor, and equipment are used effectively and efficiently. Monitor production processes, workflows, and schedules to ensure on-time delivery of products. Respond promptly to production issues related to scheduling, manpower, and material shortages. Coordinate meetings with related parties to discuss production schedules, address constraints, and mitigate risks. Calculate series materials based on customer requirements, considering various parameters such as lead time, MOQ, standard time, quality, line efficiency, and production constraints. Work closely with the Manager to implement process improvements. Set production targets and track KPIs to monitor key process performance. Ensure materials and equipment are prepared for production. Make informed decisions for ordering raw materials, scheduling production runs, or adjusting production processes. Coordinate the launch of new production along with R& D quality and other related areas.Requirements Minimum of 2+ years of experience in a similar role within the Manufacturing industry Proficient in 3M and About Time software Strong communication skills, both verbal and written Excellent customer service abilities Proven experience in forecasting and production planning Knowledge of KPI reporting and its application within a manufacturing setting Able to manage daily production schedules effectively Familiar with production planning principles and practices Bachelor's degree in Business Management, Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, Operations Management, or related field preferredRobert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
