This business cluster has several initiatives planned for the next years and this individual will be a key factor in deciding how we proceed.
General responsibilities:
Present owner timely and accurate accounting and financial reports to facilitate increasing revenues in all 3 businesses.
Routine journal entries, Financial Reports and projections and general bookkeeping
Improve accounting process improvements to drive accuracy and managerial insight
Will be expected to be Hands-On with the Accounting, Financial Projections
Collaborate with the Owner on special projects, business strategy and operational analysis
Desired skills and qualifications:
Should have solid knowledge of Accounting and Finance Principles (i.e. knowledge of Quickbooks and bookkeeping alone will not be sufficient)
Bachelors degree in Accounting or Finance
Strategic-minded leadership skills with ability to implement chosen strategies
Excellent written and oral communication skills
The ability to think like an Owner and help with strategic and creative business solutions
Be willing to learn broad scope of business
Ideal
Above-average software and IT skills
Familiarity with various Small-Mid Market Accounting Systems
Advanced educational qualifications (i.e. Masters in Accounting or Finance)
Ability to think strategically
Note that the business is in the process of transitioning away from a legacy accounting solution. Were not sure what accounting system well be using so itll be helpful if you have exposure to something other than QuickBooks.
