Job DescriptionA company is looking for a multiple Field Engineering Technicians to join their team. This engineer will aide and partner with their client in the upgrades of a major energy providers distribution grids. This role will be owning their own field work and will ultimately be in charge of designing the project construction plans with Geographic Information Systems (GIS), Computer Aided Design (CAD) tools, Work Management Systems (WMS), and other client systems. The project work will require performing engineering calculations that may include: structural analysis of poles, guying, cable pulling, electric demand, transformer sizing, voltage drop and flicker, and coordination of protective devices.
Scheduling and developing construction plans for the project work
Creating work packages, construction plans, bill material and will be in charge of the scope of work schedule.
Travel to job site to collect necessary documentation and supplementary data (notes, photos, measurements, etc.)

Associates Degree or Technical Degree
0-2 years of prior relevant experience: working directly with an electric utility or an electric utility consulting company, performing design engineering- OR could have: strong construction background, design work, civil engineering, electrical experience and programming experience Must be comfortable in both a field and office setting Interest in developing construction work packages for the electric distribution system using various software systems and construction standards Candidate must provide their own reliable transportation (local customers/sites will be reimbursed for mileage)- This role will involve 80% travel around the surrounding cities for customer requirements, meeting with construction/project managers and driving timelines on projects - Geographic Information Systems (GIS)- Computer Aided Design (CAD) tools- Work Management Systems (WMS) SAP B1 and/or SAGE Experience nullWe are a company committed to creating diverse and inclusive environments where people can bring their full, authentic selves to work every day.
