As the PC Technician, you will work in the Greenville, South Carolina, region. This role is a short-term contract / temporary opportunity.

Major responsibilities

- Take down, box and ship equipment that is outdated

- Provide computer hardware support for PCs, laptops, monitors, servers, and other IT equipment, including diagnoses, repairs, rebuilds, and refurbishments

- Communicate regularly and effectively with ticket submitters

- Keep track of equipment and collaborate on possible purchases

- Retain records of daily data communication transactions, problems and solutions or installations

- Assist with functionality testing and end user support

- Own imaging and preparation of new computers

- Take responsibility for technology implementation projects and carry them out

- Follow company quality standards to ensure the integrity of all electronic data records

- Install, troubleshoot and repair printers

- Transfer data from PC to PC and troubleshoot software/hardware as well as break/fix

- Coordinate repairs with the appropriate vendors

- Handle disassembly, boxing, movement and setup/installation on site

Requirements

- Observant, accurate and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment

- An understanding of networking such as switching and routing is preferred

- Ability to multitask and communicate effectively with individuals of all backgrounds

- Strong problem-solving skills

- Break-Fix experience

- Solid understanding of Chromebook

- Proven flexibility to adapt to changes in procedures and job assignments

- 1 - 3 years of experience with PC and Mac hardware and software, and an understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, LAN, and WAN

- CompTIA A+ certification required
